Carolina Wildwood
Carolina Wildwood is a newly remodeled 4 bedroom, 4 bath vacation rental home only minutes to some of Asheville’s finest restaurants, hiking, & breweries. Perfect spot for mid-sized groups visiting the NC mountains. Only 20 minutes to downtown Asheville, Hendersonville, & Brevard – adventure is right around the corner in every direction. Well-equipped kitchen, foosball, air hockey, board games, and a spacious back deck with a grill. You will not want for anything in this home.
The Space:
Carolina Wildwood is incredibly versatile. It offers 2 separate living rooms, and is big enough for groups to spread out. The back deck is over 500 sq ft and offers a large dining table, a grill, and is the perfect place to unwind after a day of hiking or visiting Asheville’s most popular attractions like the Biltmore Estate.
With super-fast internet and convenient access to town, Carolina Wildwood is great whether you want to work or relax. You can have a glass of wine while you cook dinner & watch your favorite show on DirecTV stream. Or you can have a game night using our wide selection of card & board games like Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan, or a family classic Monopoly. There are also games for the kids like Connect Four and Uno. Or you can even have a foosball or air hockey tournament.
Carolina Wildwood is only a few minutes from the Interstate, AVL Airport, & the Ag Center. While it is close by the interstate and airport, there really isn’t a noise concern. You will be able to slightly hear the interstate when sitting on the back deck in the winter time, though it’s not much of a disturbance at all. It’s in a flat residential neighborhood that is perfect for afternoon walks. And there is plenty of parking for your group in the driveway or along the road.
The kitchen is upstairs, along with a living room, and 3 bedrooms. There is a second master bedroom downstairs, an additional living room, and plenty of space for placing games.
BEDROOM 1 – Upstairs master bedroom with attached bathroom. Features a luxurious king bed, a small walk-in closet, and a desk/work station area.
BEDROOM 2 – Upstairs queen bedroom. Shares a hall bathroom with the twin room.
BEDROOM 3 – Upstairs room featuring twin beds with an additional roll away cot. Shares the hall bathroom with the queen room.
BEDROOM 4 – Downstairs master bedroom with attached bathroom. Features a luxurious king bed, a walk-in closet, and a small desk. There is also a pack & play and cot in the walk-in closet that can be moved throughout the house as needed.
ADDITIONAL SLEEPING AREAS – The downstairs living room has a day bed with a roll out trundle bed. These two twin size beds offer far more comfort than a pull-out couch. The downstairs master and the upstairs twin room each have an additional rollaway cot in the closet. These can be moved as needed. There is a guest bathroom downstairs with a shower to accommodate for people staying on day bed, trundle, or cot.
DOWNSTAIRS – The downstairs provides a lot of space for a large group to spread out. There is a game table with plenty of board games and puzzles. The Air hockey table and foosball table will provide hours of fun for your group.
KIDS – This is a great place for kids, especially older kids. However, if you have crawling babies or small toddlers, be aware that the kitchen/main living area is upstairs with the stairway being just off the kitchen. There is a door blocking the stairs, but if you have a large group and people leave the stairway door open, it could be dangerous for crawlers or toddlers without an awareness of stairs.
OUTDOOR: The back deck offers a large dining table that seats 10, and a seating area that is perfect for an evening bottle of wine. There is a propane grill on the deck. Grilling utensils, grill brush, and lighter are provided.
PARKING: The driveway has space for approximately 4 cars. An additional 4+ cars can park on the roadside as needed.
CLEANING: Sparkling Clean! Carolina Wildwood is thoroughly cleaned between guests before each check-in.
KITCHEN: The fully equipped kitchen is upstairs. Cups, plates, bowls, wine glasses, serving platters, kids dinnerware, utensils, garlic press, wine opener, coffee pot, latte/espresso maker, refrigerator with filtered water and ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, blender, griddle, toaster, plastic storage containers, bakeware, knives, nonstick cookware, muffin pan, and more.
OTHER INFO: Gas fire place, linens & towels, large capacity washer/dryer available, complimentary toiletries, hair dryers in every bathroom, dish detergent, trash bags, iron & ironing board, enough toilet paper & paper towels for a few days, first aid kit, games, books, and more.
ACCESSIBILITY & STAIRS: The kitchen is upstairs, so guests who are not able to use stairs, will not have easy access to upstairs. However, when we remodeled the downstairs, we made considerations for accessibility. The downstairs entrance door is 36” wide. The bedroom downstairs as well as the guest bathroom downstairs both have 36” wide doors. The downstairs guest bathroom has a step-in shower. There is a table downstairs that could be used for dining, and also a small refrigerator. While this house is not fully accessible, many concessions have been made to the downstairs to make this house as accessible as possible. There is even the possibility of accessing the back deck by going around the side of the house if you have a mobile ramp. There are no grab bars installed currently. OTHER: There are additional amenities to make your stay enjoyable. There are a few hiking backpacks available and reusable water bottles. We have trail maps & local guide books for hiking, mountain biking, or sight-seeing. We have a back rack inside so you have a safe place to keep your mountain bikes or road bikes. In addition to a coffee pot, there is a latte maker, coffee grinder, and French press. There is a pack & play for babies and a booster seat with tray for dining.
